mileage of my D5
Hi, my 2006 D5 SE 163 is barely run in, with a mere 103000 miles. Having problems with it, its got high Turbo pressure so has gone into limp mode, trying to get it repaired next week. Had the car 2 years and only done 3000 miles since I bought it and have spent nearly £4K on it, on non engine/gearbox repairs caused by very poor maintainance. The car had a full service history, written by Hans Christian Anderson and a blind MOT inspector.

2005 (54 plate) V70 D5 163, 173k and climbing.
Superb car, treating it to cam & aux belt change and a full service today at Volvo. |

Nice one Scania (sounds like you should have a bigger Volvo!!).
The clock on my 52-plate D5 163 flipped to 239000 this morning. Frustrating, because I thought I would hit the quarter-million before Christmas, but lockdown has foiled that, well and truly! |

When looking for my V70 I viewed one that had 390k on it, to quote my Volvo dealers service manager “The D5 is arguably one of the most durable engines Volvo has produced, so long as you swap the belts.....” |

My dads 2003 s60 2.4D 136hp and my own S60 2007 185:
currently on 450.000 km and counting, the outside is beat but the engine runs nicer than my 07 S60 185hp with 225.000km (the lifters need checking due to the infamous tugboat noise)

My xc90 d5 56 plate made it to 193500 and then it snapped a lifter and rocker and took the engine out , just had a replacement fitted with 76k on it.
