Default Change wood effect trim?

I'm keen to change the wood effect trim as I feel it makes the car look cheap inside.

It's an 04 plate auto - any idea where I can get replacement carbon or aluminium trim without breaking the bank?

Just an idea but I have seen on many other forums where people buy the 3M carbon shrink film and trim all the bits up themselves.

Anyone used this stuff...clearly it is not going to look as good as the pics suggest it will ! How easy is it to apply (& remove if I make a hash of it !) ?

I fancied swapping my wood for something metallic, but most of the complete sets on ebay go for £150-200...to much for my liking !

Just bought some carbon fibre effect stuff on eBay. Has anyone got any info on how to remove the gearstick trim, glovebox trim and cupholder lid?

Thanks.

To get gear lever trim out you raise cup holder covers and lift the trim from there, it pops off with a bit of force.
