Hi all,
I would like to purchase a really, really nice one of the above.
Have cash waiting. I have owned what was arguably the best 945 celebration and have regretted to this day selling it.

It all depends on what you consider to be "really, really nice" and, more importantly, how much are you really willing to pay for a mint one. There's plenty of average cars out there for 3 figures but the cherished ones are few and far between, hence the 4 figure asking prices.

This seems to be the only really good estate out there at the moment

This estate looks decent but suspiciously cheap for the mileage

The best estate I've seen for a while was this

Not such good condition but much rarer was this LWB saloon that's just ended

Best of luck with your hunt. I hope you find what you are after. Keep us posted with what you come across.

Thanks for that Kev.
I'm looking for the Holy Grail !!
Willing to pay a lot more than any of those.
BTW : Who buys an estate car with fitted dog guard and lets it sit on the front seats.

I attended Thorseby Hall the other weekend ( first BKV in years ) and I've got the bug of wanting another.
Have gone through 240 - 740 - 940 - 960 - S80 - XC90, but the best was my last one a 940 celebration estate '97 on a R plate 1 owner with 23,000 miles.

Not necessarily. There are some immaculate ones out there but they only come up a few times a year. Just be patient! Good things come to those who wait...!

This has to be the longest advert I've ever seen!! I've no idea whether or not the car actually sold.....

Very glad to here that, more so that you actually want one as opposed to just need one! I was at the National. There were few corkers in the 700/900 class...
What did you turn up in then?

I'm on my 14th 700/900 and 9 of these have been 960 mk2/90's. Yes, the last in line models with their extra equipment are the best of the 940's. Don't think I've ever seen anything up for sale with anything as low as 23k...

Was there for the weekend with my Hilux Invincible / Hymer caravan.
Could have purchased a very nice, very original 960 ( probably the best there ) for less than four grand, but declined as it was the 2.5.

Yes Kev,
I've had a " free " look at it's score on a website and it hasn't been taxed since last year and only part service. I may give them a call and glean what I can re: service and MOT history to back up the miles. It's the same model, colour and wheels as the P reg 960 I had in "95. ( Great memories ! )

I had a P-reg estate in dark blue with the 20 spoke wheels and "classic" leather but grey interior. It got written-off by and HGV but I've still got it as a donor.

Did you see this....?
