volvo s40 se 2.0D

Hello can any one help me i have a volvo s40 se 2.0d i have had so many stuff go wrong firstly i have a light on dash bored saying ..Engine service system required i also have so sort of valve rattle or clicking any ideas please ..??

Please move to correct section again James!! Original poster has 2.0D engine therefore 2004 or later car. This is wrong subforum.

Or perhaps keep them in this section of the site to let them know that the previous S40/V40 is far more reliable and to avoid the later S40 especially with its problematic Ford 2.0 diesel engine.
