I've just put some Uniroyal Rainsport 3's on the back of the S60, the front axle will get the same treatment in a couple of weeks.

225/45 r17 for £70, fitted by event tyres, so far no complaints (and the rear of the car hasn't swung round to come say hello) which is only good.

Well, got a good few hundred miles on these tyres now and they seem very good. The weather has been very cold and wet so not had a chance to push them hard into corners or anything but so far so good. Quiet motorway running, good wet grip and only a little wheel spin when I unleash the 200 ponies (re-mapped D5). As I said in my original post, these tyres got good reviews on the web and I also talked to a couple of taxi drivers where I got them fitted and they said they were very good too. Time will tell I guess.
