new here...940 questions

So hopefully ill be getting my fathers 1992 940. He has had it since 92 and a few months ago he gave it to my stepmothers daughter. Who she complained about the car and a few weeks ago someone hit her. Know i havent seen the car yet and its considered totaled. But from what my father has said it needs a drivers rear door and possibly front. it also needs all new springs and struts but thats what i was going to do for my senior project with my current car. I have two questions. doors are pretty simple to replace right? I looked at mine and it looks like its held on by 3 bolts so it seems simple...ill try to get pics of the car if i get it.

Also since insurance considered the car totaled can we still get it back? They are getting 1500 for it and may get it back. do you think they will? I mean i would hate to see it junked because it has like 240k but it has a newly rebuilt engine with 150k. Its been in the fam for so long i hate to see it junked. And my 92 integra has been annoying me with all the rust and stuff.

It depends on what class right off they put it as, hopefully you'll be lucky.

If you can find that out it would be handy

Also my dad told me today that both drivers side doors need to be replaced...being hit on that side is their anything else that could be damaged that i should be looking out for?
