Default Opening the boot

Hi,

Does anyone out there know of a way to open the rear tailgate without taking the key out the ignition when the engine is running?

At the moment, I have to stop the engine, take the key out and press the button the remote to get my boot open!! It's a bit of a nuisance1

Thanks.

on an S40 you just pop the boot with the boot release button.

Don't even have a tailgate release on the fob! can't you release it manually in yours?

try unlocking the car with the lock/unlock switch on your driver door first if that doesn't work.

On my v50 I just press the boot release button above the rear number plate.
But surely you have to get out of the car anyway to place items in the boot.

may be todo with your car autolocking over 8mph

you'll need to press the unlock button to allow another person to access the boot - you tried that?

To be honest, I am showing myslef up as lazy!!! I meant the scenario where I'm still sitting in the car with the engine running and my other half is trying to get into the boot!!!! I'll have a read of the manual and see what it says.

Cheers folks!!

Just out of curiosity why don't you let your other half get in the car with you?
