I clamped mine, one each side (!) to a suitable steel flange using 2 big paper-clips (bulldog clip)

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/142934510137 41mm size

The resistors are the type that are encased in a gold alloy heat sink with a flat base and mounting tabs

https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/1353128905?iid=283743069972

The above are what I ordered

Been working fine for over a year now - no issues at all

Cheers

Dave

Thanks mate, I done mine a few months back but had to do my parking light as it shown an error on the dash. This resistor seems to get a little warmer than than the brake light one. I've located mine under the lights in the space where the the fog light plug sits.
I was just curious as I've seen people just let them rest behind the lamps without any airflow 😯
