It depends upon the engine. If it's a 4-cylinder VEA engine, as most are, then it's 0W-20.

Agreed, my data is saying 0w-20 for the V60 D3 2016 onwards so 2015 must be the cross over year.

I think that it comes down to the number of cylinders.

My 2014 V70 D4 has essentially the same 4-cylinder 2 litre VEA Diesel engine as my wife’s 2015 V60 D3, right down to the same poorly designed oil control rings, and they both need the same 0W-20 oil.

If I understand correctly, then the oil that you mention is for the earlier 5-cylinder diesel engine, which lived on in a few selected AWD variants of Volvos until around 2016.
