Default 531 head in need of work

I have a 531 head that was removed from a weird 940 pickup truck that was cobbled together in the engine bay.

It needs welding repairs and some absolute ejit managed to cross thread one of the plug holes #3 I think from memory so one of the easiest ones to see as well!

They also stripped it down and left it all outside in the rain so everything in the head went in the bin including the A cam as it just wasn't usable sadly.

£125 collection from Worcester, there are three or four on ebay for sale in America with the cheapest one at £363 + £94 postage.

When you say that it was left out in the rain- does that mean the cam bearings and valves/ valve guides are also ruined?

I doubt it, the photos show no rust or oxidation on them. It was on a bench under a gazebo but everything else was left outside on a toolbox, it was one of the strangest places I have ever been.

Snap on tools literally being trampled in to the mud.
