Default Door mirror replacement

As a newbie to the site (and volvos) I'm impressed with the amount of help and advice available from just having a quick scoot around the site.

My request for help is simple - my door mirror was clobbered the other evening and I had to remove the glass before I could drive off.

What I did not appreciate was that the heated glass wire connections were of 2 different colours, black & grey/black. So which colour wire connects to the top connector on the glass and correspondingly the bottom connector?

Thanks in advance

The short answer is that it doesn't matter

Now I have a better internet connection, I'll give you the answer I meant to.....
The short answer is that it doesn't matter as the worst that can happen is a blown fuse. I'm not sure that's even an issue though as mirror heaters are pretty primitive circuits.
However, if you have access to a multimeter, set it to DC volts (maximum 20) and place one of each probe into the mirror plugs coming out of the car and turn on your heated window/mirror switch (ignition on).
If your reading is 12v, the probes are in the correct plugs, so red is in positive and black in negative.
If your multimeter reading is -(minus)12v, it's the other way round.
