16 valve conversion
Hi
I wonder if you can help me. I am in the process of converting my B230K head to a 16 valve DOHC and having these temporary set backs: 1. Cylinder head clearance on the wire wall. Will making the engine/transmission mounting holes bigger to be able to move the engine forward solve this concern? 2. DOHC cylinder head intake manifold has clearance problems with the brake booster. Can I still use the original 8 valve intake manifold with adapter plate in between the head and intake flange? 3. How does one make sure that the distributor assembly is correctly mounted prior to the installation of the DOHC cylinder head. Thanks to all in advance. |

There are not many people who have tried this conversion in the UK. Have you looked at the US Turbobricks forum?

dohc conversion
Yes I did. My problem is, the B230K engine never came out in the US, only the fuel injected type.
The clearance problem of the cylinder head against the firewall is now solved. It was just hitting the air con hose that can be relocated. |
