Wheres auto overdrive relay

Sat in my car right now with glove box out. Wheres the autobox overdrive relay ? I believe im looking for a white relay. Found a large white one directly behind glove box but wire colours dont match my haynes.

Help !

Found it ......

Driver side of centre consol.

Remove carpeted panel under dash (straight above your knees) by twisting large round black washer things half a turn.

Its clipped just inside centre consol at knee height

Hope this helps, took me an hour to find it.

The big white one is probably the fuel pump relay. Always good to know where that one is!

Went out to do a "10 min" relay check after my overdrive stuck

Turned into an hour looking for it.

The wiring diagram is terrible in the haynes and needs a magnifying glass, so that didnt help.

I have a volvo electrical service manual which shows locations of everything but its for early models so i didnt check it. Turns out that the overdrive relay for a different g/box is in the same place, Bugger i should have checked.

Live & learn.

Anyhow, hope this helps someone in the future.
