Am deemed insane....

My S60 2014 is knocking in the rear boot area mainly nearside. It has a fresh mot and every single mechanical thing has been checked (including new shocks) and there are no issues with that side of things.

It's very much an inside noise. I have attached a video of it. Are there any things I can adjust or check interior wise? Boot, seats, headlining, parcel shelf? I have driven with seats down, floor out, toolkit out but it's still the same.

https://youtu.be/DzfrYlyCUEc

Please help me! I already feel like I should had myself in at the local hospital

I also have this issue on my v60, rear trailing arm bushes changed along with drop links and ARB bushes but the noise persists, I have resorted to turning up the radio until weather a bit better but if you find it please post back

All bushes have been checked so I'm pretty sure it's inside...
I'm glad I'm not the only one suffering! I will keep trying different things... I reckon it's something under the parcel shelf or something boot related

My V60 does this too.

I saw a forum post where several owners said that packing the tailgate lock with grease fixes this problem. But it's too cold to try...

Try wrapping a bit of electrical tape around the pin of the boot locking mechanism.

Tried the tape round the pin but didn't work.. I did adjust the rubber stops on the bottom of the boot to see if it will shut tighter so will see if that works...
