Default Remote Tailgate Shut Function

Received this module to remotely shut my tailgate from remote yesterday on my birthday. Delivery took around a week.
Installation is the easiest ever - even my 4 year old daughter could have done it!
Simply plug the module into the ODB port and that's it. I tucked the main unit behind the carpet so it's out of view!
I'm very happy with it! I can now remotely shut the tailgate from the remote rather than press the button on the tailgate.

But more importantly, the car now remembers my last setting for START/STOP! It doesn't default back to On anymore when you next start your engine.
Also the doors automatically unlock when you switch engine off! I've only had my XC60 for 3 weeks now and opening the door is so weird still that I keep forgetting to either yank the door handle 2 times before it unlocks or press the unlock button manually!

Some photos and videos!
Bottom line: If you have the XC60, definitely get this!!!

I’m interested by this however I’m concerned that fitting the module will compromise the car security as there is a 3rd party device connected to to the OBD port.

Remote close would be useful what else does the module do?

Module 4.0 have features:
1. Disable the Start/Stop function, if this feature is available on your car.
2. Make it possible to close the tailgate from the remote key fob or interior button. Works only on cars equipped with power tailgate.
3. Unlocking doors after stop engine. Works only on XC70/V70 MY2012-MY2017, XC60 MY2013-MY2017.

What are you afraid of?
Many manufacturers make third-party devices that are connected to OBD.

Yeah, don't worry about it - there's loads of people that have bought this and are using it. There's a bigger thread about this on here. I'm loving mine! I don't have to worry about remembering to switch off the START/STOP everytime.. and I can just open the doors when I've stopped without getting puzzled that it won't open and I remember I have to pull the handle twice or click the unlock buttons manually!
