Hi - V40 a good buy (1997/R)?
Hi everyone,
I hope you are all okay. I'm going to look at a V40 later today as I need an estate for heading back and for to an Aunt's in France. Can you let me know if it is a good buy - what anyone's experiences (good and bad are). I've currently got a Ford Probe and will be very sorry to see it go, such a good workhorse with cavernous boot, but need the extra height an estate can give. Any advice much appreciated , Best wishes, Jo |

Hi Jo and welcome to the forum.
I have had my Volvo V40 2.0T for a year now and have absolutely no complaints. I went from an M plate 940 to this. The V40 is somewhat smaller and doesn't have the added benefit of the two extra seats in the boot. The V40 is a good car and I personally don't think you can go wrong with one of these in your drive but like anything in life there are no guarantees. Currently I have a wee problem with the Lambda Sensor but that has been it and the only thing I have to spend on the car is the petrol. It is comfortable car that I can rely on to get me where we want to go. Hope this posting is of some help to you. Kind Regards Maitland |
