Always good to hear from the other side. Balance in any debate is good.
Insurance companies, like any other for profit organization, will respond to averse pubilicity. I appreciate that individual brokers take all the heat. Time for the public to go public & complain to the appropriate bodies. Really tired of corporations telling me what I can & can not do. At this time of life why be complacent? Always someone out there that wants your business. Ever thought of going independent?

Have to back Malcolm up with this one. My brother recently bought a VW Golf Td - it is a 2003 SE model, that had originally been ordered and privately imported from a dealer in Holland. Only problem was, it was a 90PS version, which was never officially imported into the UK. All the major insurance companies he rang, looked at their monitors, clicked on the drop down - no such model and no quote!
He eventually got cover from Footman James - where, it seems, they still employ people and have not dumbed down to the call centre, only interested in the easy money type operation.
