Default Parking sensor false triggering

The inner left front sensor on my 2013 V70 has lost some of its black coating, showing some white in the front face. No obvious sign of damage. The front sensors now trigger when several feet away from obstruction, with the display indicating that the obstacle is to the left side of the car.

Is the paint loss likely to be the cause? Are single sensors available, easy to fit, need VIA etc.? Advice gratefully received.

My front left stopped working so I bought a replacement from https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Parktroni...72.m2749.l2649. Worked fine for about a month and then started going off for no reason while reversing or moving forward slowly. Thought it might be the wiring so replaced to the right side and same issue, sometimes it works fine for a few days and then has a hissy fit.

Have ordered a replacement from the same place and will send this one back to be tested. Didn't use or need VIDA to install, but did use it to establish the part number (31341345) for my car. Not sure if the part number has changed since my VIDA 2014D version.

Quick update on the above. The replacement sensor had same issue and seller has accepted the return of the items for a refund. Given up on alternatives and ordered original. The part number shown in VIDA and on an original sensor from my car (31341345) seems to no longer be valid and has been superseded. Won't know what the new part number is until I get the original I ordered.

Thanks. Be interested to hear if this does fix it. What's the rough cost of the genuine sensor, if you don't mind me asking?

Standard sensor price £81. Cheaper at FRF with forum discount. Will let you know if it fixes it and the part number as I should get it this week.

Had issues with my sensors and a bit of searching indicated item dropped and then replaced with new part number (same for Jaguar as it happens), eventually found them in ebay for 14 and then again at £7ea, identical to what I had on V70. in the end replaced all, basic plug n play but pain to clean out behind the bumper. ebay link here for whats available now

Original 'new' part number for my chassi is 31341638. No issues so far so assume it was down to the sensor only and not the wiring. I see that it can also be found for £20 on http://www.aetonline.co.uk/volvo-pdc...638-1601-p.asp but no clue what the quality is, although they give a lifetime warranty.
