Hi, Volvo V40 98 Drivers door doesn't lock with key only unlocks, when door is open fob can't be pressed in only can be pressed when door is closed

I wouldn't advise using the key lock on a mk1 S40/V40. They jam very easily and I would imagine that is what has happened to yours.

Is the locking pin on the door card in the down or up position?
