RTI Discs.
Hi.
I currently own a volvo C30 and the SatNav system is the RTI DVD type. I've only had the car 6 months but, and this wasn't explained to me at the time of purchase, the DVDs are the original set from 2006. Pt No's T1000-11286/11287/11288/ and are well out of date. Does anyone know where I can purchase some replacement DVDs. I only use the UK one but you have to buy the complete set from the volvo dealership. The latest issues are extortionately priced but the previous issue may be cheaper if anyone is changing theirs. Thank for any help. Tis I |

I know you are not looking for new ones, but in case your stuck i can do the most up to date disks at a lower price than retail.
I can supply this latest disk (Volvo part number 31285374, released June 2008, update number 5 since your current disk it appears?) at £159.39 including vat and including next day delivery if ordered by 1pm. Usual retail price is £180.00 inc vat, and this is lower than they were as until recently they were around £230.00 approx. http://www.volvocars.com/intl/salesa...008q2_DVD.aspx Simon

Thanks Simon.
Yep. The Volvo dealership can give me a new set for £153. Seems this is the standard price now. Still seems a lot when I only need the UK disc for "routine" motoring. Thanks for your reply though. Tis I. |

Thanks Simon,
Sorry for the typo, they had quoted £199.99. It's still expensive though. The systems you buy at Halfords can be updated from the web. There are some single disks on Ebay. It looks like the German owners are selling the disks they don't use. |

My local dealer still quotes £153.18 plus VAT. Single new disks on Ebay are going for £139 + £7 postage.
Although expensive, Simon's price is not too bad. I'll forget the communications pack if I order a new Volvo!

New discs in November
My dealer suggested there would be a new DVD for the RTI satnav in November, costing upwards of £130.
