Engine: T5/R - MikeVol94

I have V70 2.4 Diesel on 52 plate.
Recently I had a new fob for the alarm fitted [at a Volvo dealer] . Don't no if it is a coincidence but since then there is a prob. The car starts first time with no problem but after 1/4 of a mile it will not go above 40/45mph.
"Engine Service Required" comes up on dash. But if I stop switch the engine off and re start it runs perfectly, and the "Engine Service Required" goes off. It doesn't always do when the fob has been used. It has recently had new glow plugs and I thought it was sorted but no. Help!!!!
