just had my brakes delivered from gsf and im not sure if there the right ones...
for my t5r estate i have been told they need to be either grooved, drilled or both, the ones i seem to have, have a different part no from what i can see they should have. v62202 are the ones specified on there website and in the catologue, and i have a pair of v60102 ??? which are clean faced with the easy check dots on them, are these suitable or do i need to return them??
some one please help as i was planning to fit them tomorrow....

Who told you they need to be drilled or grooved?? The T5 brakes are the same as all the other 850 brakes at 280mm solid vented appart from the later Rs that have 302mm brakes.

Options= you can convert to 302mm
Or get grooved disks
Or buy a full AP kit

Warning= Do not get drilled disks,,,,, they will crack, it's not worth it!

Have a search of 850 brake conversions, it is very possible to get good stopping power for little outlay.

Default if this helps

i recently got new brakes all round for my 1997 t5.
i was told there are only 2 types; 280mm dia and 302mm dia
measure your old ones across for the size. the centre fitting is the same

the stock discs as has been mentioned are all Vented solid discs...
best "budget" set up IMO is 302mm discs with dusty ferodo ds2500 race pads...
280mm with ferodos aint too bad either....
280mm with volvo pads aint that good.....
im currently using a 302/pagid race pad combination which is a dramatic improvement on the 280mm using the same pad.....
cheers

I know that some brake manufacters are aware of some drilled discs cracking so they make an indent like a dimple without going right the way through
