Quality control, after going thru many threads and topics, it looks like some XC90 models are more reliable than others!!!

We're getting there, so are the ones made at Torslanda good or bad?

Don't know yet, I am still working on it.
If somebody's XC90 has 100k on it with no problems, and other's is falling apart (at least the way they describe it) at the showroom door, don't you raise the question why? Is it pure luck?
S70s for an example were made in Sweden, Belgium and Canada at the same time and they were exported to different markets around the world, the reliability of each was not the same.
so Bigtree and all others, if you really want to help me out, all you have to do is to open one of your XC90 doors and read the country of origin label. I am curious.

Wikipedia say that are all made in Torslanda, Sweden but also mentions assembly in Samutprakarn in Thailand, Shah Alam in Malaysia and Jakarta in Indonesia, presumably as knock down kits.

Dare I suggest that we all have Swedish ones unless you have a grey import.

Wonder if the Ozzie cars were made in Asia too?

Have a good weekend all, look forward to hearing snow stories.

The 11th Character of the Chassis Number denotes the Factory Code. If yours is 1 then it was built in Sweden. Hope this helps

Thanks Mervin,
I know that mine is made in Sweden, that's what the tag says.
I was wondering about others! I will post a photo of that label as soon as I shoot it.

Rawas,
I know, I was just informing members which character denotes Sweden when they check their VIN identification.
