Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody
There is a little story Thomas, anonymous as far as I can tell, about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done. So, you see, Nobody did do a thing after all! Regards, John.

This makes me think, and not for the first time, back to that allotments situation.
People got together, wrote whatever they wrote, made such and such decision, and as effect, person who was responsible for a lot of grief has been moved to tend graveyards, company responsible for upkeep of allotments doesn't even bother sending bills with yearly rents.. Who pushed them to action? They were suffering that maltreatment for years. So who caused them to get together and do something? Not me. I didn't even have time to attend the meeting if plot holders. So who? Nobody. Just a word that there is a lad who succeeded in not letting that leach in management suck him dry. Because people like "win" stories. These make them think that things CAN be done. And then, things GET done.

Dangers of smart motorway breakdowns revealed in Highways England report
Drivers breaking down in a live lane on an all-lane running (ALR) motorway face significantly higher dangers compared to a traditional motorway with a continuous hard shoulder, new research reveals. Stopping in a live lane of an ALR motorway more than triples the danger when compared to a traditional motorway with a continuous hard shoulder The AA has discovered a report written by Highways England which finds that such breakdowns on ALR motorways (smart motorways where the hard shoulder has been permanently removed) more than triples the danger; according to Highways England’s work the risk increases by 216%. Furthermore, the report, entitled Stationary Vehicle Detection and published in March 2016, shows it takes Highways England more than 17 minutes to spot a broken-down vehicle in a live lane on an all lane running motorway when Stationary Vehicle Detection (SVD) systems are not in place. And these real-time radar systems – which can detect stopped vehicles across multiple lanes in all weathers and set off an alarm for the control centre – are actually only in place on less than a fifth of all-lane running motorways, although they can detect breakdown live events on average 16 minutes quicker. One live lane breakdown on an ALR motorway without SVD took more than an hour to discover on CCTV. http://<b>https://fleetworld.co.uk/d...nd-report/</b>

Ho-hey..
Tiny step forward.. I've found version that has English subtitles (if turned on/top left of video, before you press "play") Now how to embed it in UK site... Permission first, of course. Maybe with permission I will be given html code embedding it? http://www.zyciemapierwszenstwo.pl/

Devils in the detail, saying goes
I was thinking about putting up some photos of road accidents etc, but just imagine how easy it would be to secure permissions from copyright owners. Finding these owners! Thus clip is so much better, and I can get to owners much, much easier. It's Polish ministry of transport after all. Same bone-stiff setup as here, but it least it's a chance. Besides.. this clip is actually interactive. Did you try clicking "do nothing"?

I have now, Thomas; both switched on the English subtitles that is and selected each option at the end.
It is impressive, but if I was being critical, I would say that it loses something in translation. For example, I would substitute 'siren' for 'buzzer'; buzzer just doesn't have the same impact, the same urgency, as siren. Regards, John.

So would I, John.
I would also replace lector with English one. But I think that it's a choice of "take it or leave it". As for now- best I've found.

I salute you, Thomas; I would literally not have any idea of how to do something like that. Congratulations - I'm sure that with your perseverance you will soon have it 'up and running'.
Regards, John.
