Lightbulb Satnav rear camera combo upgrade

My XC60 is a great car and I am really impressed with it, however, it's Achilles heel is the outdated SatNav and the lack of a rear view camera. If possible, I would like to replace the existing unit with an up to date touch screen SatNav which incorporates a rear view camera which auto switches on reversing. Is there anyone with experience of such an upgrade and if so can they advise me who and how to get this done?

I've got the 360 camera and it's awesome. Could that be retro fitted? Much much better than just a reversing camera.

For Sat Nav, I agree standard is a bit pants, so just use Google maps on my phone.

I did hear late last year they were switching Sensus to Google for car which would be great.

Nice wheels. I had an XC60 D4 R Design '67 plate for two years on PCH, doubled the mileage (40k vs 20K Contracted). Great car and I had no issues with the SatNav in that. No front parking sensors shocked me with that spec of vehicle. My current XC60's SatNav is an antique, but at least I have parking sensors front & rear. If I could use Apple Car Play I would use Waze for my routes.

I agree about the 360 degree camera, for me it's not just awesome it's an essential on larger vehicles like these. My understanding is that it isn't possible to retrofitted.

Whilst the Volvo sat nav has been significantly dumbed down over the past few years it still does the job and I like having a large 2D map in the centre display.

Volvo are already using Google services for Sensus in the all-electric XC40 and it will no doubt be rolled out across the range. It wouldn't completely surprise me to see it on other models as they reach their mid-life face-lifts.

I thought all the latest XC60s had touch screen Sat Nav?

What do you have instead?

Thanks. Now re: Apple Car Play or Android, I've tried both and they're frankly poor. I would've expected it to take up the whole Sensus display to be useful, but they only take up half the screen which is a real waste of screen real estate.

I'ver stuck to decent phone holder near A panel and using Googlemaps. Taken me over most of France and Belgium over the years that way.

My car is the previous version of XC60 (see my gallery pics) with an antique SatNav and no rear view camera.
