V70 2.4 n/a - coolant not getting to temperature
The coolant doesn’t seem to get to temperate on long motorway drives in cooler weather.
Ie. it doesn’t get to the halfway mark on the temperature gauge, it gets up to 1 mark off that. But when driving in town the car mostly does get to temperature. Car is a 2002 V70 2.4 n/a Have attached a photo of the gauge taken after driving for about 45mins on the motorway. PS I didn’t take the photo myself. Do I need to replace the thermostat? As the car is developing numerous minor electrical faults so I am not sure how much longer it will be economical to keep the car. So don’t want to purchase an OEM thermostat if it doesn’t really need it. |
