Default Arrow flashing on dash - E S W lights flashing

Hi

I have had a sudden fault after a period of layup. 1998 volvo v70 2.5 10v.

I have no codes but have literally just replaced the tps sensor and cleared an error code for that fault.

What is the next approach/list of things I need to check through to diagnose specific fault? Gearbox was working perfectly but have not been out since this started flashing.

It could be that having been laid up the contacts in the PNP switch have gotten dirty so if you haven't done so already I'd try cleaning those especially as it's quick, easy and free so nothing to lose Basically with the engine off you run the gear selector from P to the rear end of the selectors movement and back again to P in one movement[no pauses at each gear position]do this half a dozen times or so in quick succession then try starting the car and see if this has cleared the problem. There are threads on here that might explain the procedure better than I have.
