Default Thinking of converting

Hey guys,

Thinking of converting my 96 850 T5 to LPG, can anyone recomend a kit for it and a supplier? would really like to fit it all myself as I am a bit funny about letting anyone work on my car as I do all my own work myself.

Have seen a kit from http://lpg-kits.org.uk/shop/ that looks well priced but not sure if its any good.

http://lpg-kits.org.uk/shop/lpg-fron...ne/prod_8.html

that is like the kit but the one they would send has a high power reducer but the rest of the kit is the same.

Any opinions?

Never heard of Easy Jet, it's generally regarded that the best gas system is the one I have on my car. You can't diy and I'm not sure I'd recommend it. Most systems won't fuel enough for our engines.

Having also looked into this in detail myself, I totally agree with JezF. BRC is the one to go for for turbo charged engines but this is only available through accredited fitters.

I agree to. I have a BRC system fitted and it is fine.

Also you could concider PRINS.

My local fitter (same as Terminator's) didn't recommend PRINS for my engine, again, he was concerned that it wouldn't fuel properly. BRC can do over 70bhp / cylinder - not many gas systems can do that.

One key advantage of BRC is that if one injector goes (this is not uncommon), you can replace just one rather than the whole bank. That means quite a saving.
