Cruise Control
I am thinking of buying a new V40, but it does not have cruise control.
Can it be retro-fitted? Either with the correct Volvo parts (into the steering wheel?) or as a dashboard fixture? (I had it retro-fitted to my Audi and it was a skoosh). |

V40 Cruise Control
Many thanks, Clan.
Looks much the same job as my Audi, so that's a definite. |

Made an enquirey for this on a V40 I am buying from new (in stock).
Crazy, £225 factory accessory..... Retro fit, needs the buttons (35 quid), half hour labour (35 quid) and the software...........£335 :-O What a p*ss take! |

Don't talk to me about 'Factory Options'!
I asked for a spacesaver wheel instead of stupid gunk when I ordered, citing Volvo's price list, but apparently it can only be fitted at the factory. Why, for god's sake? Its a straight swap into the .... spare wheel well!! I threw away the foam and the pump, bought a wheel and a jack elsewhere, and left a few choice words with the dealer. One of the reasons I upgraded to the SE variant was that it included cruise control (so problem solved there, for once), but I had the same performance with an autodim mirror (my two previous Volvos had one). Again, I eventually went out and bought my own (from Gentex). Volvo are just not interested in the customer or his feedback once they have your cash. I am unlikely to buy another one.

LOL - factory fit spare wheel, whatever next! Mind you, the dealers can only order the retrofit part numbers once the vehicle is out the factory, so their hands are tied.
Hopefully I'll have a good experience as I bought this one from my brother :-) Got a stonking deal too.. |
