DAB issues - Page 2

Oldcroc - Always possible.This has not popped up on the S60/V60 section so it may be different although to be fair the S60/V60 section is not overly busy with owners.

It is frustrating for people as DAB is really good when it works and it CAN work very well. I put my post in here to show that Volvo can get it right, perhaps not on all models though.

DAB is a crock once you venture into Europe.
Works no problem for me in the UK but Europe have two frequencies for DAB, the UK one and a different one which the majority use.
Until there is a DAB standard I'd keep my money in my pocket as it could go one way or the other and no one, including Governments, are willing to commit.

Bunch of tossers want you to throw your money at an issue of their making !!!

I have had a software update for the DAB and at first it did not seem to have made any difference. However, I was sat in the car waiting for the missus and was messing about and pressed and held the Ensemble Learn. I noticed that it took about 20-30 seconds to complete to 100% and after that the DAB has been a lot better - not perfect but better. Previously just a short push on the Ensemble Learn button and the process was completed within a few seconds - but holding it down produced the results.
I am assuming that this process probably activated the software update somehow..???
