Default XC60 - Price Under Scrappage Scheme

I am trying to place an order for an XC60 SE Lux, Drive-E with metallic paint, panoramic sunroof, PACOS and Bluetooth.

I understand that the price under the scrappage scheme should be the same from any dealer. But two different dealers have given me different prices even though they claim to have used the same calculation!

Does anyone out there know how to do the scrappage calculation?

Thanks

Chris

Well, if you have had a car for more than a year that are worth below £2K then this is what you get.

£1K from dealer + £1K from Government.

Volvo also have some other deals at the moment on the XC60.

Rob Lang would be the best to speak to. 01206 717300 at Lookers Colchester. May even give you a great price (did for me!).

Thanks NewVolvo,

But there is also a 15% discount in there as well as the £2000 off! My confusion lies in how they actually do the calculation.

The discount seems to be 15% of the ex VAT price (car + extras) less £867 (don't know why).

Then VAT is added back onto the discounted price of the car, on the road costs added and then the £2000 removed.

Anyone know anymore?

Thanks

Chris

Clear as mud !

Ask for the amount you have to pay, pure and simple. Doesn't really matter how you get there.

Surely the best way to see how the scrappage scheme works is to do your best deal first, then at the point of signing produce your 10yr old car...........

it's a deduction of dealers contribution towards the scrappage
867 + VAT@15% = 1000

Acording to the Volvo website, you get £1000 from the gov, and £3640 from the dealer.

If your car is less than ten years old and you are not going through scrappage there are some derisory offers coming from Volvo dealers.

Read on another website of someone going to a Volvo dealer with an 06 VW Polo 1.2 with 49k miles. The most basic 3door car is currently booking at around £3600 trade, the person was offered £1500 as a trade-in.

on the XC60 you get 15% from Volvo off of the Basic price including any Factory Fit options plus the £1000 from the Government so the amount you will get depends upon the Specification of the car

the prices might vary but they shouldnt do as it is a Fixed Deal From Volvo
the only real way they can Vary is if someone has made a mistake
Chances are that will get found out before the car is ordered

if you give me the Spec of the car options etc i can price it for you
