Default Later 240 screen

Hey up.
I need a little help.
I am trying to replace the front screen on my 93 Torslanda 240 but cannot find anything. I can only find one and that is a chinese one which doesn't fit properly. Pilkington will make me one for a scary price and maybe get one shipped over from Europe. Any ideas.
Also does anyone know the significanc of the small black dots running right around the edge of this chinese one. My fitter has said that it is for a guide when fitting for the primer which is smeared on first. If this is true, being able to see it all the way round does that mean this chinese screen is too small.
Hopefully i can get some ideas.
Mick.

Hi Mick,

the cheap way of doing it is to use the common 240 screen for 75-90 model years and use this trim to give the same look as the 90- style screen

Default screen for torslanda

Hey, Thanks for the reply. I have bought a new genuine seal for forty quid but the actual screen is prooving elusive. All you get when googling volvo 240 windscreen is the numerous windscreen businesses for fitting. Is there nowhere that i can look at just for a screen.

These guys supplied my screen, fitted with the later seal. I have no idea if they sell screens loose though.

I have a screen still fitted to a 91 240 estate with the late rubber seal that is in good condition, I can remove it before sale though. Would need collecting from SA19 Wales. Let me know if you're interested
