Is Mobil 1 suitable for my B5244S2 engine? If OK, anybody know of cheap supplies? (UK)

Yes. No, thats the quality of engine life you pay for.

Try COSTCO if you have one near you, they are cheap and have GTX magnatec for about 12 quid (plus VAT), they have mobil one but I don't know the price.

This brand of oil is second to none, however my local dealer charges £55 for a sumpfull of Mobil 1 so this makes even the Halfords price look very cheap by comparison.

I think GTX Magnatec is only semi-synthetic.

Duckhams now do a fully synthetic at about £25 for 4.5litres.

The cheapest place I have found to get mobil 1 is in France, When ever i hear of somebody doing a beer run, I get them to get me a couple of cans, Works out about £12.00 for 4 liters.
