Been in to Snows in Southampton today and it looks like they will be able to remove and re-bond free of charge even though it's a 10 year old car. They have a contract with a national windscreen company who will undertake the work at the main dealer. There is the risk that the screen may break in the process and they will not cover any costs incurred in that instance, so I'll contact my insurance company and find out whether they would still cover it under the windscreen policy. I can push the screen from the inside and it moves several millimetres so I would have thought it should pop out quite easily.
