Default LED tail lights

Hi
A couple of the LED elements have failed in one of my tail lights, is there a fix or is it a new unit? Not bothering me yet (only 2 or 3 have failed) but if more follow it will....

2008 V70 2.4d

Cheers

yes a sealed unit , It is most likely not the LEDs themselves but damp getting in and corroding the circuit board . Can you see any cracks ?

I’ve seen that on quite a few VW’s but never on a Volvo before. As t’other chap has said likely an isolated water ingress issue. I expect they will be cheap second hand as not much demand other than accident damage.

FYI for road worthiness purposes at least half have to work.

Thumbs up

Thanks guys, good info on MOT failure.... no damage to light from the outside visible, nor any moisture present, are they easy to remove? If they are i might see if there is any obvious damage to the unit
