Angry URGENT HELP NEEDED- Volvo 460 GLEi ( H Reg)

Hiya
I have a 460 GLEi on a H plate it has been running fine, then all of a sudden it just conked out... When you turn the key it turns over but will not start!
Any ideas are welcome as to what it could be!
Thanks in Advance!

Question

Hi. Check for a spark at the plugs. Is it getting fuel to the cylinders?

Alternator charging ok? Petrol in the tank? (not being patronising, you'be surprised how many people overlook this 'cos 400's can suffer from sticky petrol gauges).

Check your distributor cap/leads too.

Hi, Do 460 cars have a Fuel Injection relay like 940? Also could Ignition Switch contacts be faulty? Is the alarm aftermarket, and so cause shutdown? Has previous owner fitted Kill switch to coil circuit?
