Default Eating wishbones - lost confidence

Hi guys

I have some sad news, my 460 has eaten up the fourth wishbone since the year beginning. This set has now gone in under two months, I have lost confidence in being able to safely drive the car. Even though I am halfway through a project to do an engine conversion I have continued to drive it due to a divorce and not being able to borrow ex wife's car anymore to carry out this project and funding said divorce.

I do not know exactly what the problem is but it is pulling wishbone Appart. I think the chassis has sagged a bit more since being straightened or something since the head on collision so I have been forced to buy a car under finance. Untill I get to a point where I can repair June, she will be in storage. I have bought a volvo Xc60 2010 with a cheap finance deal under duress as I would prefer to keep driving the 460 again.

Sorry to hear this - you put so much effort into getting the car back on the road again!

I would agree with you about the cause being something moving/slightly out of true following the accident. I have no idea how you would go about tracing the problem though or what would be involved in putting it right...at least, not without some specialist equipment and the associated expense.

I am sure you have too much on your plate at the moment to deal with this but keep June safely under wraps - her time will come again!

All the best

David

Bad times Andrew.

I still have a 460 Turbo waiting for you though
