Got lined up to get the lens off today and started with 50C for 30 min, tried again at 80C (for 10min) and gradually increased it to 130C (for 10min) as recommended on Youtube. The latter really freaked me but there is no give at all in the lense at any stage so what the heck is holding in place? H9 bulb is held in place by 3 plastic lugs of which one had snapped so suppose I can leave it as is knowing I am unable to change it without the other 2 snapping. Cheapest replacement assembly is not cheap so suppose leaving it for now is the way to go.
