RE: More 850 T5 Queries
On the subject of the front windows, if the switch module is the same as in the V70 then they are prone to failure.
It will eventually fail !!! About £85.00 to replace. I've had it done. |

RE: 850 T5-R and R clutch
Similar thread on clutch squeel problems on the 940/v90 site. one small point to check if changing clutch. Volvo garage changed my friends clutch but the thrust bearing was also damaged. Of course when doing a clutch you should check the bellhousing but working with the right gear you are probably only checking the clutch itself and not looking at the crud in the bottom of the bellhousing. A couple of balls from the race were however left in the ballhousing with the most wonderful results!!!Cheers Nigel

RE: 850 swittch module
Before replacement, use contact cleaner in situ and if no cure, remove and clean - my driver's window went intermittent due to muck falling into the switch.

RE: 850 swittch module
Thanks everyone.
The window problem has been resolved as advised in situ - so no need to remove the console! |
