Seat Belt Extension

I understand that the rear seat belts on my 850 estate will not fit a child seat and I am therefore looking for an extension for one of these seat belts. Anyone suggest where I might get one? and if anyone has one now that the kids have grown out of the child seats I would be willing to purchase.

It's either a Volvo dealer or one of the usual suspects for non-dealer Volvo bits; see the club magazine for details or trawl through the forum for suppliers.

There are many child seats that will fit your 850. I went through the same situation 9 months ago. You only need to go to Halfords or somewhere like Mothercare and try the seats in the car.
What you won't be able to fit is a rear and forward facing combined seat. I had to get separate ones.
I found Halfords the most helpful and competitive.
Volvo don't do longer belts for the rear but do for the front at around £200 fitted for pyrotechnic ones.

Do a search on google for Securon. I think thar's spelt right. They manufacture seatbelts for a lot of cars as original fitment. They also supply longer aftermarket belts for the 850 and other models from approx £40. They also supply seatbelt extenders but don't recommend there use with child seats, only for larger people.
