I'm sure he totals it all up and pays the tax man what he owes in fuel duty like a good citizen

I guess if you're feeling smug filling up with LPG you must have paid off the cost of the installation, I usually don't keep a car long enough to hit payback so have never tried it. Maybe one day......

LOL, Yes, but you did it yourself.... Not all of us have the skills to do that

Also (and this isn't a dig) I personally wouldn't want to put an eBay used kit from a written off car onto my motor, so it would cost me rather more than that.....

I'm certainly not anti LPG, I've just never been able to make the sums add up given how often I change my cars. Even with the Alpina it doesn't make sense as I don't do a lot of miles in it.

Cheers,
John

A T5 on lpg sounds the perfect combination

I wouldn't have thought running a car on heating oil was illegal if you pay the duty, but dirty yes, maybe no more dirtier than diesel though?

hmmm sounds alot like a dig to me

but the kit had only done 800 miles and was like a brand new kit.
the car was written off from light cosmetic damage and was knowhere near any of the lpg components
so its me that is a winner

LOL honest it wasn't a dig, I'm just paranoid about things like that, I want to have a known supplier to shout at if things go wrong.

i suppose alot of people are not as mechanically minded as others so its plausable that they would worry.
But thanks to those people for letting me get an almost brand new lpg setup for what i spend on petrol in 6 weeks
maybe thats why im still feeling smug as i havnt really had to fork out alot of money.

The positive thing that i can take out of it is knowledge.
LPG has always had me thinking as i always wanted to know more about it and how it works.
So the hours of reading up on it on all the forums really has extended my knowledge base.
I just dont like sitting idle at nights and at this time of the year i start to see the cold weather cming so i need to get a fix of the spannersbefore the long cold winter nights.
