Centre Speaker Volume (Pro-Logic)
Hi
Got an S70R (love it, but regret not spending the extra money on the V70R, grrr), and have a problem with the stereo. The centre speaker is incredibly quiet, barely noticeable in fact. I've adjusted the volume and the effect level, maxing both (SC900 if it matters?), no good. I've taken out the speaker and all seems fine as far as I can tell (no obvious signs of corrosion, breaks, tears or anything the untrained eye would notice). Although you don't hear a damned thing from it, you can feel that it's actually throbbing away gently, increasing and decreasing with the stereo volume. Just to check it wasn't a wiring issue, I removed the speaker and rewired it directly to the head-unit, no change, still the same gentle vibration with no discernable noise. What am I missing? I figure there must be an amp of some sort with these things and wonder if that's the issue, but ... and I can't stress this enough ... I know nothing about that kinda thing, so whilst any help would be appreciated, words of one syllable please! Thanks! BJ |
