Ordered the clip from the Volvo dealer. I have no idea how to fit it, or get the old one off because it is badly rusted. Will take it to a garage to get done. How much should I be looking at?

Thanks
Dan

I got the local mechanic to change mine when he did the Oil change and he didn't charge me anything :-) so I wouldn't imagine it would cost a lot

One of these modified hose clips is £2.84 including vat and including Royal Mail 1st class recorded delivery, so if anyone wants one let me know. I can get them in stock and posted out to you the same day if ordered by 1pm [Part number is 988028]

Rexer I advise you look at your clip before buying one. It's located at the battery side. There is a good chance your clip will need replacing as even my 2002 s40s is starting to rust.

Mine looked the same.

As the mechanic tried to remove the clip, it just split! Lucky escape. He only charged me a tenner if anyone is interested.

Hay just to say thanks! kinda
I never got around to doing my bottem rad clip and it burst last week on me
It was a realy simple job and depending on how small you are there are 2 /3 ways of doing it I took out my battrie and battrie plate and took 20 minets to compleet the job
IF IT WAS NOT FOR THE INFO ON THE SITE i wouldnt of figured out what was up with my car and drove it home... Luckly i was at work when it went and i could see the water come out!

REPLACE THE CLIP IF YOU HAVENT
