Default Central locking secondary noise

Hello All,

Just recently stepped into XC90 ownership & had a quick observation.

When I lock the doors there’s like a secondary locking noise a couple of seconds after the doors have locked & I wonder what it is?

Thanks Mark

Thank you... saved a silly question to the dealer...

I even found out what the plastic clip was for on the A pillar...

They thought of everything!

In which case it's a great shame. When I got my first Volvo in 1990 (a year old 740 SE Estate and the best I've ever owned 170000 miles) I spent ages trying to break the clip off. I thought someone had just pushed a bit of plastic under the rubber seal. I couldn't break it and in the end gave up. When I found out what it was for I was grateful it was so strong.

As Volvolover has stated the fuel filler flap locks after a delay from when the car is locked to allow time to lock car at fuel station and get to the filler flap and open it to refill with fuel.

That is a shame as I've had lots of Volvos over the years and love the 'ticket'clip', such a simple but effective idea.

That set me thinking, I can't think of any other manufacturer who's copied it, am I correct or can anyone advise?
