CEM low beam headlights relay part number
Dear all,
I can't find* any details for the relays for the dipped beam headlights in a V70 2006 (and associated vehicles) CEM. Does anyone have the details please? The only details I've found are for the previous CEM that can be accessed wholly from inside the cabin, without having to move the wiper mechanism. But I don't know if the parts are the same… *I have spent hours searching and reading through the forums, such that I'm quite certain this is cause of my dipped headlights not working. I've been going round in circles though trying to pin down the exact details. This video sums up the removal process, for anyone else looking for info! The Haynes manual makes it sound like a Tommy Cooper magic trick Thanks in advance for any help, Craig. |

I had problems when I had hid lights fitted. The only way I could get them going again was a code reset of the cem.

Well it will be a whole lot easier than replacing bits inside the cem. What headlights have you got? Halogen xenon or aftermarket hid's?

They’re just halogen ones.
Working on a PCB is actually no problem for me. And of course, I suppose I’ll be able to see the parts when the CEM is removed, but I’d really like to have them ready to swap over. Cheers. |

The CEM on cars from 2005 - 2007 have no external relays they are all soldered directly to the PCB in the CEM.
Access via the scuttle panel only give you access to the wiring / connectors on top of the CEM. |

It's because of this fact that I'm trying to find the part numbers..! Well, worst-case scenario I'll find out when I get the CEM out |

Relay part number
In order to find the part number for the relays, and also as a contingency, I bought a used CEM from eBay.
So for anyone else trying to find this information: The relays are labelled as Tyco V23134-J52-X455 They are referred to as 1-1414610-0 Unfortunately they are not easy to find available to purchase; https://www.te.com/global-en/product-1-1414610-0.html Arrow in the US sell 'em in multiples of 5 (plus international shipping); https://www.arrow.com/en/products/v2...e-connectivity Arrow in Europe sell them in quantities of 294!!; https://www.arrow.com/en/products/1-...e-connectivity I have emailed TTI and Mouser to see if I can buy from them… Craig. |
