Hmm....Got me wondering too now...was mine re soldered? It did take nearly 3hrs. Wish the car was on the drive i would go have a look.

come on guys!!!
volvo tuning have allways stated that upgrades are undetectable and that they have all the proper equipment to flash our ecu's!!! - and its not as if they ever mislead us all before is it!!!!! maybe i should open my ecu and find out? |

ME7 cars are usually remapped using the oBD port arent they? I suppose if there is a problem you would need to remove and directly program the eprom itself.
Its easy to tell an ecu that has been soldered etc as the metal lugs that hold the lid on will show signs of being bent over before you even look inside at any soldering. I dont see the need to become agressive to a company if they dont want to discuss if a chip is soldered. Just have a look yourself! Simon

No remaps are undetectable! You dont need any fancy equipment to remap a car an eprom programmer will do.
Is this the latest line of attack by the Rica bashers, if a chip is soldered or not? Does it matter? Simon

I havent heard of any complaints about Adam or Hamish's soldering has anyone else? I dont see anythng to worry about.
