Same faults. ABS lights on, odometer not adding miles, stiff power steering, adaptive headlights not working, trip computer not working. Can use the car as we have done waiting for new part.

Is it a case that the BCM could be ok it’s another fault or is something else going on that won’t let it program?

Thanks for all the good advice it’s been very helpful.
Your fault is elsewhere than the BCM , you need to check the contacts and terminals on the three pairs of network wires in the CEM plugs under the glove box .

Clan, any chance you can expand on that a little? I've got an intermittent Brake Failure Stop Safely fault that randomly appears, then clears itself from the dashboard. The speedo doesn't work during that time, nor the cruise control. Switch the engine off, turn the ignition and it works. Vida throws up a BCM communication fault as well as a Brake pedal Position Sensor fault. The BCM has been tested and is working fine, I've had the Brake Pedal Position Sensor out and tested it for resistance and that's ok.

So given the random nature of the fault, I'm down to wiring as the next thing to check, hence being interested to see if you could give any further info.

Regards

Check the BCM can bus wiring to the CEM

At this stage you need to be closely inspecting each connector and the wiring loom for corossion and damage, especially at the CEM end of the loom

You will need to do some dismantling to get to the CEM
