Unhappy XC60 '18 '19 Aux Battery and Camshaft Position Errors?

Hi, Volvo XC60 2018/early 2019. Giving me the message "auto stop start needs service." The car is running fine- smooth idle, drive, always starts, etc- only thing is it is not doing the auto stop (fine with me). I wouldn't know anything is amiss. Check engine light is not on. And I hate the auto start/stop function, I'd leave it not working if I could w/out getting the annoying scrolling pop up message that service is required. This model requires I disable the feature w/every drive so just turning it off and forgetting it isn't an option.

I figured out how to test the aux battery- got a 10, so I believe the aux battery must be replaced? AutoZone did code reader and got the following error codes. I'd like to know if 1) it's possible that the bad aux battery is causing odd codes and messages? If not, what, roughly can I expect to pay to correct the error codes- they sound scary? The car is running GREAT- no delay in starting, etc. So I'm confused about all the messages and scared about the error codes.

A couple days before the auto start stop service message popped up I randomly got "power steering temporarily unavailable" when I was stopped, it would flash on instrument panel and go away. Also got a message about tire pressure, checked pressure, it was fine, message went away on its own. The scary part is the following scan error codes that appeared:

ECM

P050700 Idle Air Control System Higher than Expected
P034192 Camshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance (Bank 1 or Single Sensor) Component Failures. Performance or Incorrect Position
P036692 Camshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance (Bank 1 or Single Sensor) Component Failures. Performance or Incorrect Position
P001100 Intake Camshaft Position Timing- Over Advanced Bank 1 General Failure
P001200 Intake Camshaft Position Timing- Over Retarded Bank 1 General Failure.

I have an appointment at Volvo dealership this morning. What would you do?
I'm new to this- the forum, handling the "car stuff" etc. Hubby passed in 2020 and I'm trying to fig out all the car things he handled (not fun, don't know how you guys enjoy this stuff but I'm trying!). My apologies if this isn't where/how to post, learning curve might be steep. Thanks in advance!

Stop start fault is usually only low battery voltage, putting the batteries on charge overnight using the engine bay charge points should sort out that problem.

Other diagnostic fault cides; I would reset them then run another scan "after" charging the batteries and see if any remain, it is not unusual to get spurious fault codes if battery voltage is low.

Default Replace aux batt?

Thank you. Car is not an electric model, so I suppose replacing Aidan batt is the way to go.

Or just charge the battery with a smart charger?

Default Problem solved by replacing auxiliary battery

So here, in US, 2019 Volvo xc60 has an auxiliary battery that is not chargeable. Had it replaced and all the bad codes about pistons, camshaft, etc. are gone

Same as in the UK. The cars have a main and an auxiliary battery. Both can be charged.

A bad or low voltage battery can throw up a lot of codes. I know from first hand experience after owning a jag. Those things are like a disco light show on cluster if battery goes bad.

Ha! So true! Turns out it only needed that little aux battery replaced. I didn’t know/don’t believe it’s (re) chargeable? Nonetheless it seemed to be a great mystery to everyone where it’s located (I found it under hood). Don’t ask Autozone employees or even the apprentice mechanic at Volvo dealership, they all guessed its location incorrectly.

So thankful all the schizo codes were (knock wood) just a crazy battery’s last words!

The auxiliary battery is chargeable, but not directly.
When the main battery is charged at the charging points
under the hood, the auxiliary battery is also charged.
It is just a small battery to keep systems alive during the
stop phase in stop/start.
