Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information
Condition The engine control module (ECM) has two integrated power supplies for the 5 V sensors. The power supply for sensor 1 supplies sensor group 1 with power. Sensor group 1 consists of the accelerator pedal (AP) position sensor 1, the fuel pressure sensor, the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) position sensor, the boost pressure sensor, the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor and the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-180F is stored if the engine control module (ECM) registers a fault in the power supply cable for one of the sensors in sensor group 1 or an internal fault in the internal power supply for sensor 1. Substitute value None. Possible source Faulty signal: ■ Short-circuit to supply voltage in the power supply cable to one of the sensors in sensor group 1 ■ Short-circuit to ground in the power supply cable to one of the sensors in sensor group 1 ■ Defective sensor in sensor group 1 ■ Defective engine control module (ECM). Fault symptom[s] ■ The engine cuts out ■ The engine does not start. |
