Is it ok to fit 107H rated tyres to an XC60, as MY17 D4 FWD has 108V rated tyres fitted?

Just checked my summer tyres and they are rated 103V. Could you just double check yours.

I'm sure the more knowledgable members of this forum will correct any errors I may have noted but in essence:

103 refers to the load index of the tyres and as the winter tyres are rated 107 i.e can take more load then than the summer tyres then that is fine.

V refers to the speed rating of the tyre. In this case the winter tyres have a lower speed rating to my summer tyres, however I would not expect to be exceeding these speed, so I was happy with this option.

Hope this helps

Deffo 108V, not to worried about the load rating, more concerned over speed rating, if it was made with V rated tyres surely it needs V rated tyres? It's not about the speed you may or may not be doing, it's more about convincing your insurance company to pay out if you stack it! Would be interested in people's views as I'm no expert.

H rated tyres are good for 210 kph which, coincidentally, is exactly the same figure as the quoted top speed of a D5 which is also almost double the national maximum speed limit.

So I guess should be no problem at all.

Currently running same wheels and tyres on my XC60 for the winter. It is always refreshing to put these on as the car rides much better. The original tyres (again Pirellis) always seem to make the care wander around as if tramlining. A much more relaxing ride on Winter tyres.

Default Reduced XC60 Winter Wheels and Tyres

Have reduced to £480 or any sensible offers as the XC60 will be going next month and will have no need of these Winter Wheels.

Thanks for looking

Do you know if these will fit on the V60. I have the R-Design, can't remember if there was some limitation about wheels due different ride height.

Although the 18" rim should fit the V60, I think that the tyres are too tall for it as they are 235/60/18 - the V60 has lower sidewalls as far as I know.
